Ecology in the hotel's daily life

 

The eco-friendly minibars, specially developed and patented for us, and the rainwater toilet flushing system bear witness to our wish to run the hotel in an environmentally sound manner.

 

In 1997, the Hotel Adler and the in-house restaurant Swiss Chuchi underwent major renovation and during this process, ecological aspects played a major role.
 
A case in point is the use of waste heat for heating purposes, and another is the rainwater toilet flushing system. A novel environmentally friendly solution was also found for the minibars in the hotel rooms.
 
The Hotel Adler's new environmentally friendly minibars are based on the system of the cool box: A refrigerator without a cooling aggregate, but with a special compartment for cooling elements. These elements are changed daily in order to keep the drinks in the minibar cool. Compared to the conventional minibars, there is a 90-percent energy saving. 

A positive side effect: The environmentally friendly minibars emit no disturbing noises.
